**** I use 1kg strawberries + 750gr sugar + juice of 1 lemon for above Jam-cooking Time:1-1 1/4 hours
Please leave the strawberries with the sugar for few hours or for the night, than cook them (add lemon juice after 1/2 hour of cooking)

Rosen Kochen

"Rosen Kochen"
My dad loves 'Rose Kochen' cake (The above cake),I just doubled the dough, the other half was cut to 9 rolls (not 14..) , after 15 minutes of baking I've poured over 1 liter of very hot milk(with vanilla), and then baked the cake 10-15 more, wonderful. Rosen means Roses .. that's the way dad calls this cake .. :-)


















Cinnamon Rolls
Makes: 14 RollsFor the Sweet Dough
Combine:
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 t. salt

Dissolve Together:
1 1/4 cups 100° milk
1 pkg. active dry yeast

Stir Milk/Yeast into Flour Mixture, Add in:
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 T. unsalted butter, melted

Gradually Add:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

For the Cinnamon Filling—
Mix and Spread:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 T. cinnamon

Soft, and cake like Cookies...
Full with old-fashioned oats, raisins, milk..the melted butter makes them very east to bake,I like them, 2 cookies are missing, guess where... :-)
Oatmeal Cookies /Submitted by Betsy Shelton
32 cookies עוגיות שיבולת שועל1 cup vegetable shortening
2 cups uncooked (old-fashioned) oats
1 cup sugar
6 tablespoons whole milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of baking powder
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup raisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a large cookie sheet. Melt shortening with oats over low heat. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Mix sugar, milk, eggs, baking soda, baking powder, flour, raisins and cinnamon. Add oats and shortening and mix well. Drop by even spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake until light golden around the edges, about 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

For Lemon Lovers, Only... Lemon Jam
























I know many gourmet add vinegar to all kinds of food , salads, whatever they prepare
But.. I love lemons, and I add them wherever I can..
II thing – I'm realy not a gourmet, I just try doing my best in the kitchen,try out new recipes.. and I need to
learn lots of things in this endless and wonderful world of cooking.
Few days ago I've asked in the Hebrew food-forum [
Ort Israel] which I'm active for these 3 years more or less for a sweet delight made of…. Yes,yes – lemons ,
One of the forum members, who know how to cook very good, I think, gave me a
recipe [=hebrew] for this Lemon jam, that person's nickname is 'ish_echad' which in Hebrew is just 'somebody' …his nick is nice, Isn't it?
The recipe he wrote there just for me was simple and exact .
We have few kg of Lemons here in the kitchen, so.. 1.25 kg less will not be noticeable :-) …
You have to make this Jam few hours before eating.. or 1 night before
Today I'll not add the cinnamon and the clove as he did..
Now I have to cook the Jam, my first lemon jam ! .. coming later with the results

Lemon recipes I've prepared in the past.. מתכוני לימון
* Za'atar Flatbread פיתות זעתר

Lemon Jam - The Recipe
1.25 kg unpeeled lemon = 1 kg peeled lemons
800 gr sugar
Peel the lemons and cut them to small cubes, [reserve all kernels for the cooking , later]
Pour over the sugar, mix and put in the fridge until the sugar melts and you get lemon juice there…
Tie the kernels [and if you wish 1 cinnamon stick and 2 whole cloves], all together ;Cook everything until done.

ק"ג לימונים מקולפים מהקליפה הצהובה
שמונה מאות גרם סוכר
שתי שיני ציפורן
מקל קינמון


הכנה
מקלפים את קליפת הלימון הצהובה וחותכים את הלימונים לקוביות קטנות (לק"ג מקולף צריכים כ-1.250 ק"ג לימונים)מוציאים את הגרעינים ושומרים בצד
מפזרים את הסוכר מעל הלימונים ומערבבים היטב
מאפסנים במקרר עד למיצוי הנוזלים ולהמסת הסוכר
את הגרעינים והתבלינים קושרים בבד גזה
מבשלים ובודקים לפי מבחן הטיפה בצלחת
בסיום הבישול מעבירים לצינצנות, סוגרים היטב , הופכים את הצינצנות ומקררים, הופכים בחזרה רק לאחר שהתקרר
הריבה מצוינת ואני מכין אותה כבר הרבה זמן באותה צורה
I've cooked the gam for 1 1/4 hours (you can cook it for 1 hour +- womderful !!!)

stuffed vegetables



I've never cooked stuffed vegetables before, neither Ran ..
The last passover vacation and the near market gave ran's creative mind appetite.. to cook this dish for today's family meeting.
I watched him, standing in the kitchen, washing fresh vegetables, cutting them, cooking the rice filling.. without any written recipe, only that one, in his brilliant brain..
Even my sister says it takes hours to prepare a dish like this..
It was a great improvisation and of course ,everyone enjoyed every bite , there are some leftovers for next meal ; I hope these Step-by-Step pictures , can help everyone, to make his own stuffed vegetables, even today :-)
